The NFL playoffs are the pinnacle of American sports. Whether it’s Monday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. Everyone stops what they are doing, gets out of bed, and goes to watch football. Over the last month, I have interviewed three people, Finn Swanston, Zoe Depina, and Robert Palaimidessi about their thoughts on what the outcome of the NFL playoffs.
For the first question I asked, “Based on how the 24-25 NFL season is going right now, what team from the NFC and the AFC will get a first-round bye in the NFL playoffs?” The first response I got was from Finn Swanston he said, “From the AFC I think the Chiefs will get a first-round bye and the Lions will get a first-round bye in the NFC.” I asked Zoe and she said, “With Saquon Barkley as the starting running back with a lot of weapons I think the Eagles from the NFC and the Kansas City Chiefs with Mahomes from the AFC.” Afterwards, I asked Robert, “From the AFC I think the Chiefs, and from the NFC I think the Eagles” Looks like Robert and Zoe agree, but Finn has a different opinion and thinks the Lions from the NFC.
On Super Bowl Sunday two teams will face off for footballs ultimate prize, “What two teams do you think will face each other in the Super Bowl?” For the first person I interviewed Finn said, “I think the ravens and lions will face each other in a thriller Super Bowl” After I asked Zoe, let’s see what she had to say, “I think the eagles and the chiefs will face in the super bowl” Then I asked Robert, “I think the teams that will face each other are the detroit lions and the buffalo bills”
Looks like they all have different but similar opinions. I think the Buffalo Bills pick is a flaming hot take.
The NFL is broken down into six different divisions, “What is your favorite division and what team do you think will go the furthest in that division?” Finn said, “I’m a Bears fan so the NFC North is my favorite division so I think the Lions will go the furthest” Got some big Lions fans here. Next Zoe said, “Like I said earlier I’m an Eagles fan so I pick NFC East and I think the Eagles will go the furthest” After Zoe, Robert said, “I would pick the NFC North and I think the Lions will go the furthest.” The Lions seem like the most popular pick so far.
We have seen cinderella stories before in the NFL playoffs, maybe this year will bring another.“Do you think there will be an upset in the Superbowl?” I asked Finn, he said, “No, I think the more dominant team will win the Superbowl.” Zoe said, “Possibly but I think it depends upon how they play” Robert said, “I think there could be. Someone like the Bills and the Lions Bills will be looking to break the curse and win a Super Bowl” I agree with Robert on this one.
On Super Bowl Sunday, the most deserving team will hoist the Lombardi Trophy. “What team do you think will win the Superbowl?” Finn said, “I think the Lions will win the Super Bowl,” Zoe said, “I am a hard Eagles fan it would be very cool if they won the Super Bowl so I pick the Eagles,” Robert said, “ I think that the Detroit Lions will win but if they don’t win, I think it will be the packers” Robert again with a hot take with the packers, but ultimately I as well think that the Lions will be on top.
I’m very excited about the playoffs, there are very exciting teams, exciting players, and exciting matchups. I predict the Lions will win and this will be one of the most exciting NFL playoffs ever. I can’t wait to see the outcome of this postseason.
