With the rich and long history of soccer there have been many great players to touch the pitch. But there has to be one above the rest. I asked soccer experts Robert Palamidessi, Liam Mollerus, and George Morris on who they think is the king of footy. Robert says that he thinks, “Cristiano Ronaldo is the goat.” Liam said, “Cristiano Ronaldo is the goat also.” George said that “he believes the goat is Pele.” 

I asked them a couple of more questions to get a little more information on why those certain players are the best. I asked all three of them why they thought that player was a goat. Robert said, “Ronaldo is the best because he has a cool celebration after he scores a goal and he scores a lot of goals.” Liam said that he thinks Ronaldo is the best because “He’s broken all the records and he always was the best when he was old or young.” George said,” I think he is the best because he started the game and created what it is today.” 

They all gave really good answers, but I asked them three more questions to find out why their opinion is this way. I asked all of them how they heard about this player. Robert said, “from a classmate.” Liam also said, “from a classmate.” But Geroge had a different answer, “ I heard of his legacy and how good he was.” Very good answers. 

Next question. I asked them what they liked about the player they chose. Robert said, “I Like that Ronaldo has an eight pack”. Liam said, “ I like that he thinks that he is the best and that no one can beat him. George said, “he has done many amazing things changing the way the people of his country play and shaping an entire culture.” Once again amazing answers from the three. 

On to the next question. I asked if there was any way that their mind could be changed on their opinion about who they think the goat is. This is what they had to say. Robert said’ “no”. Liam said, “Absolutely not, I must say he is the best.” Lastly George said, “If someone can convince me enough then I would consider changing my mind.” 

We had two votes for Ronaldo and one for Pele. I wonder what the result would be if I asked one hundred soccer fans who the goat was. I would probably say that I would be hearing a lot of Ronakdos, Messi, and Pele.
