I see spring as the season of new life and growth. We finally start to break away from the bitter cold of winter and get a taste of the warmth of summer. As the flowers begin to bloom, so do new fashion trends. The fashion industry releases spring and summer collections while stores clear out winter items. Spring has a completely different feel compared to fall and winter, and that makes the fashion so unique. I love that spring weather is diverse enough to mix cozy winter pieces with a pop of pastels on a rainy day.

To give some insight into what others are planning for spring 2025, I interviewed three people whose style I really admire: Mackenzie Schiltz, Stella Stroud, and Iyla Guess.

To begin the interviews, I asked a basic question: “How would you describe your spring wardrobe?” Mackenzie said that she wears “a lot of pink and navy blue in spring.” She also mentioned she mainly wears hoodies over tank tops or T-shirts, paired with any kind of shorts. Navy blue and pink are two of my favorite color combos, and hoodies are definitely a staple for spring. Stella’s answer was short and sweet: “I love wearing pastels and lots of florals. I like to give off simple but cute and trendy vibes.” I couldn’t agree more with wearing pastels and florals! Iyla also mentioned wearing florals and pastels but gave more specific clothing pieces. She likes to wear tank tops paired with cardigans, jeans, maxi skirts, and babydoll tops. I think I’ve worn tank tops with a cardigan enough to say that it is the best combo for spring.

My second question was whether they based their outfits on the weather. Spring can bring plenty of rainy days, and I was curious to see how they handled that. In short, two said yes, and one said no—unless it’s super cold.

The third question was, “Where or who do you get outfit inspiration from?” I heard various names of content creators, including Demetra Dias, who is widely known for her large platform on TikTok. Other influencers mentioned were Embreigh Courtlyn, Layla Blue, and Brookie Yancey. They are all known for their unique clothing styles and often partner with popular brands. Personally, I get most of my own inspiration from Layla Blue and random videos I see on TikTok. Another popular answer was Pinterest, which I also constantly use for inspiration.

This next question got several of the same answers. I asked where they shop for their ideal spring wardrobe. The stores they mentioned included PacSun, Hollister, Brandy Melville, Edikted, and Garage. I would say that basically sums up where teenage girls spend all their money! My personal favorites at the moment are Brandy Melville, Hollister, and Garage.

The final question was to describe their dream spring outfit. I was hoping this would be the most fun one to answer! Mackenzie’s dream outfit is “a denim skirt, a navy blue hoodie with a cute design on it, and a blue tube top underneath—all from PacSun. For shoes, I’d wear navy blue Adidas Sambas.” Stella’s ideal outfit is “a pair of PacSun jeans, a blouse from Brandy (Melville), and possibly a pair of Adidas Campus 00s.” Iyla finished her interview by saying, “My dream outfit is a white maxi skirt, a pink floral tank top, gold jewelry, and cute sandals.”

For the most part, I would say all three girls have similar yet distinct styles. Even though they shop at the same places, they gravitate toward different sections. The message in that is to be yourself and be confident in what you wear—but if you need some guidance, I hope to be able to provide some. Spring is such a great season to revamp your wardrobe and experiment with new styles. It’s all about finding pieces that make you feel comfortable while embracing the fresh energy of the season!
