From Hawaii to Madrid, there are so many places to visit on your Summer vacation. I asked three people, Tilli, Katie and Sadie, where they planned to visit this summer. Katie said, “Right when I get out of school I’m going to Santa Cruz with my family. In June I’m going to Camp Sacramento. Then, later in July I’m going to Newport Beach for a week where I’ll go to the beach and hopefully spend a day in Disneyland while I’m there.” Sadie said, “ I’m going to Mexico. I’m going with my cousins and my grandparents and we are going for a week. We are going to Texas for 4 days in Waco and then Santa Cruz for a weekend.” Tilli replied, “ I’m going on a road trip to Northern California just for fun. I’m going with my mom and my grandma. I’m also going to Arkansas. I’m going to Arkansas for 4 days to see my cousin Adison graduate high school.” 

Then, I asked what their favorite part of the place they were going to visit was. Katie told me, “My favorite part of Newport beach is getting to spend a day in Disneyland. There I like to go on rides, specifically Pirates of the Caribbean.” Sadie replied, “My favorite part of Mexico is that I will get to spend time with my family and catch up with cousins I almost never see.” And Tilli said, “I love going to Arkansas because I get to see all of my family, especially my cousins. We get to play in the woods behind their house.” 

Third, I asked what their favorite place that they’d ever been on summer vacation was. Katie Said that, “My favorite place is Disneyland. I love it because I get to ride really fun rides, I get to eat delicious food and I get to spend time with my family.” Sadie explained that, “My favorite place to visit is probably Hawaii. I really like the food and getting to go to the beach every day was super fun. I also got to see three sea turtles and a seal!” Then Tilli told me, “My favorite place that I’ve ever been to is Ireland. I went in 2023 with my parents, my aunts and uncles and my cousins. It was pretty and really fun to hang out with my cousins.”

Next, I asked, “If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why?” 

Katie said, “If i could go anywhere in the world I would go to ALL of the Disney theme parks, particularly Disney World because I’ve never been. I also just absolutely love Disney.” Sadie responded, “I’d go to Tokyo. I love Japanese food and I’ve heard that it’s really clean and I love Japanese culture. Plus there are a lot of pretty places to see.” Tilli said, “I’d go to England probably because I went once when I was 8 but I don’t really remember it so I’d really like to go back.” 

Finally, I asked the girls if they prefer tropical or wintery climates for your summer vacations? Katie told me that, “I prefer tropical weather when I go to the beach or lakes or something like that. But I think that when I go to Disney I would prefer it to be colder.” Sadie said, “I prefer tropical because I can tan and it just feels more comfortable and warm. Plus it makes it seem more summery.” Then Tilli said, “I definitely would prefer tropical vacation climates because I get cold all the time, so I prefer a warmer climate.”
