From March 27, 2025 to March 28, 2025 the 4th grade class went on an amazing trip to Coloma, California. Three certain individuals were interviewed for this first overnight experience; Harrison Turner, J.T. Sullivan and Zurie Saberin. For each one of these students they all had their first overnight experience field trip at this school. They were asked some questions and this is what happened in their perspective.
Firstly, according to Harrison the best part of the Coloma trip was gaga ball. He said “I liked gaga ball the best because it was new and fun.” J.T who agrees with Harrison but also says that gaga ball was fun because it was competitive. However, Zurie says the best part of the trip was the night. She says the night was the best part because she could spend time with her best friends, have fun, and laugh a lot.
Secondly the trip was also a learning experience for these students. Harrison says that he learned how they used to pan for gold in the 1900’s. J.T said that he learned how they dug the mines to find the gold. Zurie said that she learned how to identify poison oak which she said would be helpful if she goes camping.
Now for probably the most interesting part of the trip was the night. Harrison said that his night was crazy because the kid in his tent couldn’t stop being crazy and loud. J.T said that his night was also loud and crazy. The night for J.T was crazy because he was in the same tent as Harrison. Zurie said that the night was cold and loud. She explained that the night was loud because the tent right next to them was very loud which meant she couldn’t sleep and was tired the next day like Harrison and J.T.
According to these people they all had a fun time and here is what they say to people that should go. Harrison said “Anyone should go if they have the choice because it was a great experience. However, don’t bring a friend that will be crazy and loud.” J.T said “I would tell them to go because the overall experience of the trip was fun.” Zurie said “I would tell people to go because you can find gold and the counselors were super funny. Lastly, the ratings. Every student rated the trip from 1 to 10 and this is their response. Zurie said old but the night was still kind of fun she would give the trip a 7. She said she would give it a 7 because the night was very loud and but otherwise the trip was great. Harrison said that he would give the trip a 9 ½. He said he gave it 9 ½ because if there was no crazy night the trip would have been perfect. J.T said “I would give it a 9 because the overall experience was fun but I couldn’t sleep.”
