March madness is a game of basketball where teams play against each other  and whoever wins gets a big prize. Well our teacher Mr. Jones made a little March Madness for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. He and two 8th graders picked the teams so it’s not unfair. I think that March madness is a fun game because teams go in a tournament to try to win. The team that I thought that would have won was PJJ: Patrick C. in 8th grade, Jackson S. in 7th and Jed B. in 6th. The best player was James M. in 8th grade. I think the teams were very fair because there some teams had an 8th grader, one 7th grader and one 6th grader.  The prize was decent, but you had to win 4 games to just win a homework pass.

My first person to interview was Mason J. in 7th grade. I asked him “what do you think  about the school march madness”? He said “I think it was fine, there were bad and good games but overall it was fine”. Then I asked Charlie R. in 7th grade the same question, “he said I liked it, But my team was horrible so I did not play any games”.I also interviewed Mattew L. in 6th grade with the same question. He told me that “it was fun and going against friends”.

I was still interviewing them and I asked my second question. My second question was “who do you think would have won the march madness”? Mason told me that “Emmanuel in 6th, James in 8th and  John in 6th grade would have won, but they did not”. Charlie said, “I think the team that won would be Jackson In 7th, Patrick C in 8th, and Jed in 6th grade”. Finely Matthew In 6th. He told me the team that would have won would be Emmanuel in 6th, James in 8th and John in 6th grade.

My third question is “who do you think is the best player”? Mason said, “he thinks that Emmanuel was the best player in March Madness, even though they lost”. Charlie also agrees  with Mason and believes that Emmanuel was the best player. Matthew thinks Kyle S. in 8th was the best player because he carried his team to the championship. To be the best player you have to score points, get rebounds and pass the ball to your teammates. Kyle S. and Emmanuel M. are really good players because they scored the most points and shared the ball with their teammates.

My fourth question is what do you think about the winning prize? The prize is a  homework pass for whoever wins March Madness. Mason said, “I think the prize was fair because it’s not a lot, but it’s something”. Charlie said, “it’s fine but it is not that much”. Mathew said, “the prize was ok but you have to win like 7 games just for a homework pass”. In some games you can get championship rings, banners that show the team name and what year they won, and trophies. Even if you don’t get a prize there is always bragging rights.

The last question I asked was “Do you think the teams were fair”? Mason replied “I think the temes were fair, but one team was not fair JEJ”. This might be because there were two 6th graders that were really good at shooting and getting rebounds. They also had James M. in 8th grade who is very fast. Charlie said, “the teams were not fair because I had the most terrible team in March Madness history”. Then Matthew said, “no because I had to sub for a team which was 2 6th graders and one 7th grader which was not good”.
